Since our founding in 1997, we have grown to serve over 4,000 students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade and we more than doubled the number of communities in which we are located. The ELA Instructional Specialist is a critical lever in improving student achievement. The role of the ELA Instructional Specialist is to improve student achievement by building teachers capacity and understanding of instructional practices. The specialist, in conjunction with the administration, is responsible for ensuring high-quality instruction in classrooms through modeling, co-planning, co-teaching and providing feedback to teachers. ELA Specialist are expected to support the instructional development of ELA teachers which means they will work with the teachers in that content area. ELA Specialists will bring a particular subject-area expertise; their focus is on improving instructional quality of ELA using an inter-discipline/trans-discipline approach. ELA Specialists will create a schedule with their administration listing the teachers they work with on a rotational basis. ELA Specialists will work with teachers in ensuring that they meet their performance management targets. ELA Specialists will be required to build curriculum and support teachers in understanding the curriculum and writing it. They must have working knowledge of Understanding by Design, standards based learning and data analysis. ELA Specialists should come with the ability to build strong relationships with teachers, administrator and other specialist. It is essential that all coaches work collaboratively and as a team. ELA Specialists will be evaluated jointly by principals and the appropriate community office academic staff.

The Cafeteria Supervisor is a campus based the food services leader. This individual reports to the Director of Food Services and is responsible for preparing and supervising the campus food preparation and serving. This further includes performing specialized tasks in food production and supervising productive kitchen operations.
