The Resident Principal role is a minimum 18-month leadership development program designed to prepare high-potential school leaders for future Principal roles within Friendship Public Charter School.

This residency provides a structured pathway to school leadership while offering hands-on experience, coaching, and continuous feedback. The Resident Principal program is designed to build leadership capacity and readiness for future Principal opportunities within Friendship Public Charter School; however, successful completion of the residency does not guarantee placement into a Principal role. Leadership placement decisions are based on demonstrated readiness, performance throughout the residency, and the evolving needs of the organization.

Resident Principals will be compensated on the Friendship Academy Director salary scale. They will also receive a yearly stipend of $10,000, paid in two parts. Please also see the available salary scales: FPCS Compensation. FPCS Compensation.
