The Talent Acquisition Manager is a critical member of the People Team at Friendship Public Charter School. The Talent Acquisition Manager will be responsible for coordinating and executing full-cycle recruitment efforts for Friendship PCS. This includes proactively sourcing, cultivating, tracking, screening and hiring talent.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently offer superior support and service to both hiring managers and candidates
  • Track, record, and manage critical recruitment information within established Friendship systems
  • Use data to find creative solutions to source, recruit, and hire top talent for Friendship
  • Develop relationships with prospective talent that yields lasting results and creates opportunities for prospective teachers to become familiar with Friendship’s mission, values, and schools; serve as compelling ambassador of Friendship in a variety of settings, from 1:1 conversations, webinar facilitation, to career fairs and on-campus interview events
  • Develop, cultivate, and expand relationships and partnerships with various external organizations including colleges, universities, and professional organizations/associations
  • Manage the progress of prospective candidates through the recruitment process, including ensuring timely communications, managing cultivation and selection data in database system, and using data to drive change in efforts
  • Propose and manage new recruiting initiatives as appropriate
  • Draft and refine position descriptions aligned with competency maps
  • Promote our talent brand through monitoring and enhancing brand strength as well as working with the marketing team to develop differentiated messages to maximize reach to qualified candidates
  • Work with the Chief People Officer to understand, track, and anticipate current and future workforce needs through the oversight of intent to return and transfer processes, and the creation of school staffing plans
  • Develop and improve upon application to hire process across all Friendship roles
  • Support and track retention efforts across the organization
  • Monitor the progress and effectiveness of key recruitment functions and present relevant data, metrics, and plans to Friendship’s Chief People Officer. Key performance indicators include; candidate experience, hiring manager satisfaction, time to hire, offer extension & offer acceptance, percent vacancies & positions filled, cost of hire, quality/productivity of hire, as well as specific application goals for hard to fill positions
  • Maintains a clear focus and commitment to their role in providing every child a world class education

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Required: Fully vaccinated against COVID-19. A person is considered fully vaccinated 14 days after the last dose of a COVID-19 vaccination series (after the second dose of a 2-dose series, or after one dose of a single-dose vaccine). 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Recruiter in education or corporate space experience (at least 1 year)
  • Experience working with candidates throughout a full-cycle selection process
  • Experience recruiting staff for 9-12 highschools
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail
  • The ability to prioritize and succeed in a fast paced environment
  • Exposure to HR processes, such as interviewing and evaluation
  • A track record of strong work ethic, integrity, and personal accountability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
